Our Mission

We foster a healthy environment in which students cultivate self-mastery through dedicated and rigorous training in the lineage of T.S. Okuyama Shihan (grand master), 7th Dan, of Albuquerque Aikikai. We are directly affiliated the Aikikai Hombu Dojo (the world headquarters of Aikido), and Kurita Juku Aiki in Mexico City.

We accept students of all levels. Whether you have been studying Aikido for 15 years, come from a different style of martial art, or have never stepped foot on the mat, our method of instruction safely challenges our students to grow, improve their bodily and mental awareness, and cultivate their understanding of martial arts.

Weapons-based Curriculum

Our practice is steeped in tradition and our style is rooted in an established body arts and weapons curriculum. We teach bokken (wooden sword), jyo (staff) and tanto (knife). A solid foundation in weapons greatly improves an individual’s Aikido practice.

Learn from Qualified Instructors

Our instructors have over 45 years of combined experience and rigorous training in Aikido and Iaido. We work diligently to maintain our practice, and to provide our students with the best Aikido instruction possible.
